Dec 23, 2009 · The ps3 has a built-in wireless receiver. U need either a wireless router, or plug in and ethernet cord to ur ps3 from the internet to get internet on ur ps3.
My router broadcasts a 2.5 and 5 GHz signal and I have no problem picking up the latter on my laptop or cell phone but I really can't tell for sure with the PS3 because I live in an apartment complex and the scan feature seems to randomly pick 5 or 6 hotspots and it takes 3-4 scans before I can find my own access point.
